St Anne's Community Services

Non-Executive Director Opportunities

“Making a difference every day”

St Anne’s Community Services is a leading provider of care, support and housing to some of the most vulnerable members of society. We believe in delivering compassionate, person centred care and housing services that are of both high quality and value for money.

Headquartered in Leeds, with an annual turnover of £42 million and 1,500 staff, we have an established reputation built over 45 years. Over 90% of our services are rated as “Good” by CQC, well above the national average.

We are seeking to recruit individuals with recent and relevant financial and accounting skills, and experience working at board level, to join our Board and sit on the Audit Committee.

As a non-executive director you will use your skills, knowledge and experience to work collaboratively with the organisations executive team to achieve the highest standards of operational and financial performance throughout St Anne’s. You will adopt a robust and thorough approach to be assured that St Anne’s continues to operate to the highest standards.

In exchange for your expertise and commitment, Board membership offers many benefits, including:

  • The opportunity to challenge yourself by helping the organisation thrive in what is the most challenging time ever faced by social care providers.
  • Working with like-minded people to shape and influence the provision of high quality social care.
  • The chance to contribute to local communities, supporting some of the most vulnerable members of society and helping them to lead safe, fulfilling lives.
  • Building your non-executive experience of an organisation working in a complex regulatory environment – in addition to our CQC regulation we are registered as a charity and a social landlord.

Board roles at St Anne’s are unpaid, but members may claim traveling and other usual expenses.

We want our Board to be as diverse as the clients we support. As an inclusive organisation we're particularly keen to receive applications from people who can help us reflect the communities we serve, particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic communities, Disabled people and LGBT people. All appointments will be made on merit.

To apply, please e-mail a copy of your CV, together with an email or letter explaining your interest in the role, to John Baczkowski, our Company Secretary (Email: johnb@st-annes.org.uk; Tel: 0113 281 6956) to arrive on or before 20th September 2017. Or contact John if you would like to have an informal discussion to find out more about the role.

Short listed candidates will be interviewed at our head office in Leeds on 19th October 2017.
