Bread making

A book of verses underneath the bough,

A jug of Wine, a loaf of bread – and thou

Beside me singing in the wilderness-

Oh, wilderness were Paradise enow!          Edward Fitrzgerald

I don’t suppose that Edward Fitzgerald had supermarket sliced white in mind when he wrote this.  Anyway, there is growing interest in reviving the art of making your own bread, which may take a bit longer than grabbing it off the supermarket shelf but can result in something which is not only highly nutritional but tastes good too.
