Matrimony

On a web site for the over 50s, is the topic of matrimony a case of 'better late than never' or 'the triumph of hope over experience' ?

 In any event, bear in mind the conflicting advice  of Bob Hope and Mae West.

Bob Hope said  'Marriage is a great institution  -  no family should be without it'.

Mae West  said  'Marriage is a great institution  -  but I'm not ready for an institution yet'
